Germaine’s Luau
What better way to end our visit to Hawaii than with a Luau. After a short ride outside of Honolulu, in what they said was rush hour traffic, we arrived at a beautiful beach. I must add that if that was rush hour, I’d take Honolulu’s traffic over traveling 101south from San Jose to Salinas California, or around DC any day.

This greeted us as we arrived at the event. We listened to the waves crashing onto the beach as we laughed and ate.

These cut-outs looked lonely just hanging out in the sand so we had to try them out.

We had a demonstration of how they arrange the flowers — the left side means you’re married and the right side you’re single.
The first of the festivities was lighting the torches, and then removing the pig from the pit. As you can see it was pretty nice scenery— of course I meant the pig. Not only did the food look good, it also tasted good.

When the entertainment started, everyone with a camera or cell phone jumped up to capture a memory, me too!. My joints hurt just watching them move and sway to the beat.

Aloha Hawaii!
Loved the view, ha, ha! And the cutouts were pretty cool!
